    Doesnt feel heavy

It actually feels quite light and nimble - and 108hp is nothing to be ashamed of.

    Plenty of torque.

Its the right bike for me. Im planning to do a few miles.

If your after a rocketship - and maximum time in seat of 1 hour or so - try an R6 or CBR600 or GSXR600 or any of the same in the 1 litre league.

If you wanna do some miles - VFR is your bike.

He he! A good idea. It might also divert them from looking at the plate if I have had to perform a mirrorectomy on their cage!:lever:

    Another Kiwi

I'm in Katikati (30K's north of Tauranga for those of you geographically challenged). Just got a 99 5th Gen (red) from GP Honda in the Mount. Also got 2 more waiting in the US to collect next year after our 2007 trip. Got the VFR bug real bad.

Give me a bell on 021 270 3466 sometime. I have only had the bike for a month, so my views won't be much more informed than yours though.

Hi all, another Kiwi... been in Perth since 2002 but wanting to come "home". Ride a red 2002 VFR 800 ... the first thing we bought when we got here! Originally from Tauranga where I had a CBX 750 Bol d'Or for 16 years!

 I am an Aucklander, an older Kiwi and I have taken delivery of the VFR06
model, and I am busy sorting out a few teething problems to make the riding
easier , I am short in the leg so I am sorting out ride heights and softening suspension to my 63Kg weight.
I like the bike - but I am concerned about the snatchy throttle at low speed
which I am searching for the cure.....Help would be appreciated.

Your question is better asked in one of the technical forums. From memory the things you can try are:
    Adjust throtle cable
    disable pair valves
    disable oxygen sensors

Also as you ride it a bit longer, it settles down.
