Wow. You should patent this. I looked forever for something of this design and never found anything. I too had ridden an st. And liked the vfr. But found the windscreen lacking. Well done. Why no company has tackled this issue yet is beyond me. Again job well done!!

First I have no desire to manufacture and patent anything. This was really for my wife but I can share things, templates, experiences, etc. I can say that there might be some things I would do differently.

    1. A smaller windscreen, maybe an OEM NT700 screen. I bought the VStrem because if was new and blemished and the price was right for an experiment. There a fair amount of flex of the screen at the top sides when at highway speed. But nothing that would cause breakage.

    2. Because of how the factory screen mounts on the VFR there are some pointy horns that stick from the add on. If I did not want the addon to be reversible I would cut the horns off. But I hate being a butcher of motos.

    3. I think I would also increase the angle of the screen a bit to a little more upright position. This would provide a little move wind protection with the same size screen. Also with this modification I did the LSL handlebar conversion too. This raised the bar end when on the center stand 6" up and 1 1/2" back. I am not sure how the windscreen mod would be with factory bars. I am thinking kind if useless.

    4. The design of these bikes to not lend themselves well for these type of modifications/farkles. This is unfortunate.

I did the mods myself. It took a bit of thinking because I wanted to make sure that I could put the bike back to stock. So there was no butchering of the OEM mounting. If I had a 3D printer this would be a lot of fun to try different designs of the mounting brackets.
