You will spend more on updated body work then for what you bought the bike for...

All of my bikes have custom airbrushing,I have a professional painter for the body work, but Im talking about the fairings themselves, not just the color or design

Harleys are born to be modified, customized and redesigned, but a Honda is born to ride, ride then ride some more. Paint it, clean it up then ride the crap out of it.

Aftermarket fairings aren't that much , fitted up an 87 with rc30 tailpiece and cbr600 fairing for under £400, even cheaper if you use race stuff. Bear in mind the subframe for the seat will need altering along with many brackets. You can make anything fit with a big enough hammer

    bodywork

I have some '99 bodywork if you want to give it a try. The attachment points aren't all that many, so it shouldn't be all too difficult. Do you have any engineering/fabrication background? Engineers can't help but design solutions ...that's what we're here for!

You could run over to Rat's Garage in Corona and work with him on "Customizing" the bike. It is a hell of a lot cheaper to buy one that looks like what you want than to make one look like you want. If it is a "learner", don't waste your time and money on looks. You will dump it at some point and all that will be a waste.
