Wondering if anyone has fitted a VFR1200 shock to a 5th gen? thinking it might be quite a good budget upgrade, heavier bike so should have an improved spring, and it has built in preload adjustment
Managed to get a bearly used one (with a free preload adjuster) for 70£ so fingers crossed. looking at the bike weights, the VFR1200 is heavier than the Blackbird, and the blackbird has an improved spring over the 5th gen, so hopefully its slightly heavier still! my bike will be predominatly used for 2 up touring with luggage, so it might still be on the soft side, but its better than a 55k old original shock! on the hunt for a cheap Vtec front end now, so i can get some Ktech springs in there.
