Arghhh I dropped my vfr

I'd just arrived at work & when I went to park up, I kicked the side stand out & heard it click or so I thought, so I went & got off the bike but when I turned round to open the top box, the bike fell on me side aways & I was stuck under the bike & had to get a guy in the carpark to lift the bike off me as I didnt want to squeeze myself out & cause more damage to the bike, so the left hand side fairing got a few bad scratchess & has marked the black paint, the left mirror also was scratched along the plastic front.

the annoying thing is that I was going to get a set of R&G crash bungs this weekend

as for dropping it, I forgot that the sidestand is quite long on the vfr & I should have checked it was fully open but I didn't as the parking space I was pulling into was on an uphill camber & I just stepped off & as you now know, I arse'd it up.

 

Hi Stevie sorry to read your bad news.We have all been there it,s usually more embarrassing than painfull but it sometime saves a fare bit of money when it lands on top of you.I hope your pride and joy isn,t to ruffed up and not to expensive to fix all the best for now. Iain.

 

Sorry ta hear about your drop, at least you got it out of the way now.
It eventually happens to all of us--- better standing still then sliding down the road.

Here's some photo's of the damage after I drop the bike, in the light of day,
I got off lightly & it's only a few scratche's but I'm still bloody annoyed with myself for doing it, FUD

 

It will polish out mate.
