    ...that the 8th gen idle goes up by 250 rpm automatically when you release the clutch in 1st gear? Someone mentioned this on the other forum so I had to test it out for myself - see vid below :D Is this something that most other bikes do as well?

    It is enough for a zero throttle launch down a very gentle slope like my driveway.

    I tried it just for shits and giggles a few months ago and was able to launch it on level ground in 1st gear by SLOWLY releasing the clutch - probably not good for the clutch though :D
