    Hey all,

I'm working on the carbs for an 85 Interceptor. The bike was a heap and not everything was connected or present when I got it so now that the carbs are clean and ready to be installed I have one question: what are the two offset "T" shaped plastic fuel tubes for?

Are they for venting? If so I would imagine I need to run lines out and down back by the rear tire. Is that right?

    Thanks!

The two plastic T shaped tubes are present. They are already installed where they belong. They are about 4" or 5" in length. One runs between the first and third carbs, the other one runs between the second and forth carbs.

My question is What are they for? Are they for venting?

Do they have hoses attached that should be run down below the monoshock ?

vent tubes don't need hoses but come with about 6" from Honda, angled into the V, so check there for carb leaks b4 riding.

alot of bikes have carb tubes venting somewhere under the frame but a possible danger could be getting wet, slippery fuel down on the rear tire.

Thanks but all I am wondering is if anyone can tell me if these tubes are for the purpose of venting.
    What are they for?

To allow atmospheric pressure to be evenly distributed to the top of the fuel in the bowls, just make sure they free and clear.

OK, then it sounds like they are for venting.
No fuel runs through these tubes, just air.

    Thanks
