Hard to tell without removing the rear cowl but it does look like the one on the 99 in my garage is plugged into something.

Well whatever it was must not be important because I found the blown fuse for the fuel pump relay and it runs now....overheated in less than 4 min though?? Tried shaking
Bike and laying Way over on both sides. When I rev it, it sucks water down so it's flowin?? I'm stumped lol

That is the old plug for the RR.
It's either modified with new RR direct to battery, or it was disconnected.
How long has the bike been standing?

I just totally forgot what it was. I put the new stator and R&R on the bike. I also got the new wiring kit and installed it too

Been taking the Viffer out on work related errands here and there. Not usually in a habit of doing that, but man the weather has been great, so Why not. The only little down side is it's work related, hence l I'm not wearing all the gear I probably should.

Look into the 'Sliders' pants at Competition Accessories. The pants that they have are tough and look good for a riding pant. They are also one of the least costly riding pant you can find. I believe they are usually in the $$80-$100 category. I have several pairs and they are what I wear when I go to job sites. I will normally wear a pair of padded compression shorts and my knee/shin guards that strap to my legs underneath and no one can really tell. Often times I'll remove the knee/shin guards when I get to the job site and the guys I work worth are surprised I even had them on.

I actually low sided in a pair of these and cannot see where they hit the ground, it was a low speed crash, but with the armor underneath and the thickness of the material I came out unscathed. Can't say the same for the Duc (this was a few years ago BTW).

This is the connector for regulator rectifier. There should be another 3 pin connector with yellow wires from the engine to the regulator.

I adjusted the valves (none were out, but three I fine adjusted to match drag between the two feeler gauges). Also replaced the spark plugs, replaced the coolant, and synchronized the carburetors. And some general paint touch up (frame, tank, fairings) and some Back to Black on the radiator side covers.

I have a Pirelli rear tire here I need to pry that on too.

Yep I'll look into those. thanks for the idea. I have some kevlar riding pants, the cut is like an equestrian riding pant, a very heavy underarmour style, that can be worn under or not. Being I'm use to this kinda of clothing, I run and pedal so its not a big deal. It just when it gets like the weather we are having, less is more, that and when at the job location there's never a spot to get out of anything extra. So yea maybe those slider pants might fit the bill. I'll check em out.

I'm sure this is not a biggie, but from here in WA. state it is. Was out and a bout and it felt a little warm, though the ride in its self was ok. We don't get this kinda of weather that often, so it's ok, other than being stuck in traffic would be more than brutal, but I'll take it in stride. and just to confirm it wasn't that far off, from the thermometer at the house it showed 101.

Breakfast at the Rock Inn, Lake Hughes.
Came out of there about 10 AM and decided to take the long way home instead of the really long way round as temps were already past 90. Ugh.

Yesterday, I replaced my faulty radiator fan switch (part came on Friday) and I took my girlfriend, Lisa, for her first motorcycle ride ever ... and she's HOOKED!!!

At the very first stop, the first thing out of her mouth was ... "Can we do this every day?" ... music to my ears!! Love this girl!!

Got her a helmet, now I need to start looking for some decent gear for her.

Right on! Although I wish my wife liked to be on the bike more, she does enjoy going on some trips with me. Malibu is one of her favorite spots, twisty roads and beautiful views of the ocean and beaches, so who can blame her.

Hopefully you can find some good gear for her. I insisted that we get her new gear before we did the R3 event for the first time several years ago and it was little difficult finding something that she liked that wasn't PINK!

Then again, maybe your gal likes wearing pink, my wife can't stand the color.

She doesn't mind pink ... she loves purples and violets though. We looked at one pink jacket the other day and she loved it. Next commissions cheque I'll be finding her a jacket, pants, and some proper gloves ... once we get that, I'll get her a Cardo so we can talk and listen to music ... boots will come last.

I couldn't be more thrilled that she enjoyed it ... she was super stoked to go and had been bugging me all week to go, but I had to wait for that radiator fan switch.

My head lamp globe failed on my 5th Gen. So, I rode to an automotive parts store to buy a new one and the standard H4 globes for cars have different mounting tabs to position them than the globe I took out of the VFR. The globe as it turned out is a specific Honda part by the wattage and fitting position - WTF. The local Honda dealer has NO globes.... On man this shit annoys me. Going to take 1 1/2 weeks to get an efffing globe.
