I didn't take many pics as usual, but here are some of the better ones around the coast.

On the way down from the top of Nacimiento-Fergusson Rd

And down on Highway one, there was exceptionally little traffic because of closures North and South. We damn near had an 11 mile stretch of 1 all to our selves. So, what do you do? Get once in a lifetime shots with your bike in the middle of a very famous (and normally crowded) road.

Looking at that Stator - it looks like that stator has been toast for a long while. Indeed it may have been what was messing with the charging system during the last AM epic trip. Hopefully with a serviceable RR and stator the bike will run fine. However given the frequency of electrical gremlins on VFRs, it might be worth fitting a cheap volt-meter to monitor the state of the charging system. It won't prevent a fault, but it should allow you to see if a problem is developing and get to a safe place before the battery is drained and you end up stranded at the roadside.

Well, that was fun on a whole different level. It was also great to put faces to names too. Nothing much to share from what you've all ready seen. But what the hey. Here's some I liked.

First though, Wow, 2,158 round trip miles, and 271 on the Viffer there, one word "Epic."

Where we stayed, yes, I didn't camp out in Regs back yard, instead we got a B-n-B, now that in its self just added more coolness to this adventure.

Yes, it started out a bit cool and foggy, but that didn't last to long luckily, here at Regs, ready for the fun to begin.

Once out, things got really interesting .

In an epic way, here coming down into Hwy 1

Whew, that was crazy all those twists and turns with surprises around every bend, finally made it down to Hwy 1 to a marvelous view.

On the way back, I couldn't resist a good ole oak shade tree.

This was a ride for the books for sure, with beautiful vistas and to have had the pleasure riding with great company. So glad to have made it back in one piece. There's no way the photos can do justice to this sort of outing.

NICE! Been a while since I've been to SF. Had quite a few projects up there in the Financial District. Used the BART to get to and from the airport. So much easier than using a rental car, more economical too. paying for a rental car only to leave it parked the whole time I was there just didn't make sense!

Stuka, have you done the tour of the old weapon storage facility in the Presidio? Apparently, they have you meet up with the tour guides off site, they blind fold you and take you on a round about way to the site and un-blind fold you after you're inside. They profiled this on the History Channel on a program called "Cities of the Underground'. Although something about meeting "strangers" and allowing them to blind fold me, does give me reservations about doing it?!

Glad AM got a long and proper tour of SF and our area. Spent a lot of time in and around SF when I work for a sound and lighting company years ago, now retired on the other side of the bay. #2 son did the swim from Alcatraz to SF shoreline in a tri-athalon years ago, pretty hairy.

Usually when that happens in Stuka's neighborhood you end up in the Castro bound and gagged in someone's basement with a gimp standing over you. Maybe Stuka's kind of night but not mine!

Looking through R3 photos and having so many laffs.

Then came across this that I never uploaded, until now... Hope it brings you laffs!

Thank you for the amazing experience everyone, especially Reg and your amazing girlie for hosting.

I don't know about you all, but I think of the time out there almost daily.

Hope the tradition can continue somehow next year!

Did someone buy a LS Black R3 t-shirt and then hide it on my bookshelf?

I just found one stuffed in the top shelf on top of some books. I'm thinking someone hid it and then got drunk and forgot. Or got drunk and hid it.
