    Hello vfrworld,

Don from Sydney, Australia here. I'm a newbie delving into the mysteries of Honda's first generation V4s. I'm currently tearing down an 84 VF1000R engine and hoping to learn a lot from this site no doubt. Standby for lots of silly questions!

    Regards,

    Don

Thanks Joe. I have owned an 84 VF1000F and an 86 VFR750F back in the day as road bikes but I've never been this deep inside a V4 motor before. This is not a VF1000R project but something quite different which I'm not at liberty to disclose at the moment. Apologies for being mysterious but it is out of my hands.

I started off looking for a Vf1000R. I could not seem to find a nice one. Most seem to have been sitting for a very long time.

Then just up the road from me appeared a well looked after V750F. So, I took a gamble. it is a very nice ride.
