Look for Corbin beetle bags. I was just about to rig up some pelican cases when these popped up on Kijiji, after three years of searching, for $300. They aren't huge, but will do one person fine for 3 or 4 days. Drawbacks are, small openings, no helmets. Require tools and 15-20 minutes to mount and remove. I like the looks of them and keep them on my bike all the time.

There is a Super Hawk with Beatle bags at local shop. They almost look good until you start looking close. They would be hard to live with. A full size laptop wont go through the hatch. much less a riding jacket with armer.

Corbin makes them custom for each bike so some may be larger, some smaller. Mine will hold an armored textile coat and liner without too much trouble. As far as a laptop the opening is only 12" long.

If you end up going with soft bags I would recommend cortech. I picked up a set last year and love then for commuting, they hold less than most hard bags but plenty of room for two people for a night or two.

Sorry to bring up a year old thread, but what rack are those cases mounted to?

I'm looking at them, or the DIY kit and trying to find cheap used cased, but the company says they won't mount up to a Givi Wingrack, which is something I already have.

I planned on finding givi bags, but I like the pelican option better. I know Caribou doesn't have a mount for the top case, so I may have to go the givi route for that.

Wonder id the OP ever saw these options? if he did, he never shared, nor said anything in over 3 years.
