Few goodies from the man in brown for the 8th Gen

So yesterday I had the chance to install a few goodies.

    Delkevic DS70
    Ram Mount Stem mount w/Xgrip
    Tankslapper 3M tank kit
    MotoPumps Risers

The DS70 was just the right amount with the baffle left in for me, sure sounds a lot better and makes the motor sing. Butt dyno says the bike likes it.

I run the Xgrip on my Polaris Ranger so I just ordered the Ram Stem Mount and share the Xgrip between the bikes, it nice to have the Waze or Maps up when riding, just need to add USB port next.

Then I also wanted to protect the new bike from flying debris and tank bag scuffs/scratches. I went with the 3M Scotchguard Pro line, I have had great results with the film in the past and it is easy to lay. Installed the 4 tank pieces in about an hour. Looks great, only had to trim a couple spots prior to laying because the factory red film around the front of the seat got in the way, and you never want to lay any small corner pieces of film over other film or it will lift.

Also installed the .9" Motopumps risers, still need more miles to decide if I picked the right size, but the fit and finish of the risers are amazing- Thanks Rob

Here are a few pics, you cannot really see the 3M Film, but that's the idea right!

After all this I still had time for a short 40 mile ride, just rolled over 350 miles on the bike.

Washed my blue beauty, cleaned the chain and sprockets then lubed them, in preparation for a long ride for a big day.

Not only do Staintune sound great, look great, perform great, positioning is great, you can also get to the rear wheel easier too. Great!

    I want...

Rolled the bike out of the garage today and installed the side panels for final test fit before removing them and scuffing & prepping them for paint work.

Had to make sure there was adequate clearance where I made modifications to the panels to fit around the 8th gen. T-Rex frame sliders and the Sato Racing rearset's gear shift linkage arm bolt.

Well once again I didn't do anything with my VFRs but did get in more parts for my 01 rebuild, so hopefully next week I can get things further along. I did however help a fellow VFRWorld member with installing a Penske shock on his 01.

A few weeks ago, before I went on vacation with my wife (no riding just beach time) I replaced the chain and the sprockets. I have about three miles, all total on this maintanance. I checked the air in my tires today because I am going for a ride tomorrow.

I've decided to go with something slightly complex but a bit more subtle on the fairings Gator. I don't wanna give too much away because it kinda spoils the surprise but I will say this.

    Pic 1 = Hmmm...... :smile-new:

    Pic 2 = Whoa!!!!! :joker:
