Wow, what a day the last couple hours have been, just back from the mail box and wouldn't you know DSC02240.jpg these came two days early. Maybe I'll get side tracked and finish up the de link, instead of fiddling and cussing the header

    What MS said! :)

If I ever get an Arai it would probably be something like that one or the Joey Dunlop

Washed and checked over my VFR this afternoon, ready for a long ride over the border into Queensland tomorrow, approx 450 km round trip. Gave my helmet a good clean too, it's an Arai Vector 2, not as colourful as the ones you guys have - is Aluminium Silver.

Rode it, in the rain, for a long time and was still a great time.

Sometimes the rain is cold and hard and torrential and dangerous, but it is still always a great time. And when I get off the Moto after rain, I still can't wipe the smile off my face. Glad you can enjoy it too!

This was from after two hours of riding through severe storms last Friday morning on my way to Moto GP.[IMG]

That's a great photo AM and you have a great smile, it's clear you're thoroughly enjoying yourself. You're inspirational, I imagine, to many riders here. Thanks for sharing.

I've never been to a Moto GP, it's on my list. But in the mean time, just a few minutes ago in fact, I satisfy my desire to race with video clips of old classic GP bikes. I'd love to get my hands on those machines. Such as an Honda RC166, 6 cyclinder, 250 cc being fired up and ridden around.

Sad to say that I didn't do anything with either VFRs today. I did take my 95 Super Sport down to the Salton Sea though. Talk about a long day. I started at 7:00Am and got home about 6:30PM. We took a few 10-15 minute breaks, stayed at the Sea Shore for about 30 minutes and had an hour lunch, the rest was on the bikes. Whew! I'm pretty beat. Interesting to note that the Cardo Pack Talks lasted all the way from 7:00AM to ~5:30PM before dying completely. The comms were connected from the time I met up ~7:30 until about the time the battery died and I had my radar detector going all that time as well. Glad to say that even though it go off every now and then, no performance awards were received today!

Went for a ride to the Sphinx Rock Cafe this afternoon for lunch, coffee and live music. On my way home the Sphinx was catching the sunlight beautifully so I pulled over for a few photos. :eek:nthego:

Rechecked all the fasteners I had off/loose when I did the new tires and wheel color change. Made sure the new chain is running in properly.

Nothing. But a good washing is in order today if it remains dry long enough. Still have an antifreeze leakage so I think it may be time for a new water pump. Next on the list of things to do will be a brake overhaul. The pads are in pretty good shape but I think it is time for my first rotor change. Will consider changing out the lines to braided lines at the same time. But this will have to wait until I start working part time. Don't have time to do shit right now.

It was interesting, I heard the little warning sound that Cardo gives to let you know your battery is going low for a while and then, what seemed like more than an hour, finally heard the "low battery" voice warning! Then after that, it still took quite a while to finally die!

I know a lot of people have an issue with using comms while riding, but I have to say when group riding, it sure does come in handy. Being able to warn each other of road conditions, pending route changes or pointing out something of interest, it really adds to the riding experience. Not to mention has saved one or more of us from either a serious crash or getting one of them CHP issued performance awards!

Didn't do shit for Slovfr and me that way back in 2014 at R3. Maybe the other two purposely did not give is a warning.
