I recently got into riding and purchased a clean 1993 VFR750. The bike now has 58,000 miles on it and it runs like a champ. I am the third owner and have never doubted the purchase and I have received many compliments about the bike. I feel fortunate to be riding a VFR like the rest of you!

Welcome Timmy! Congrats on the purchase. Sounds like yer steed is just about broken in now. I would start running synthetic in her from here on out.

Because you want to give her all the help she needs to keep on purring. Call me crazy, but I just believe in synthetic (motorcycle synthetic/wet clutch safe that is) over dino is all...in respect to reducing engine wear, and increasing the longevity of your engine's life, especially as an engine gets older, she needs all the help she can get.

    Nooooooooooooooooooo!
Don't turn this into an oil thread!
    Nooooooooooooooooooo!

    Welcome.

The 93 was the first new VFR I took for a ride. There was a Suzuki test ride event going on at a dealer but me and a friend decided we'd rather check out the new Hondas on the floor. The dealership readied a CBR1000 and a VFR. I started on the VFR, with the plan being to swap 1/2 way through the test ride. My buddy never got to ride the VFR! He's still pissed about it this many years later even though he's ridden my '95 a few times.

Great bike. Glad you're enjoying it.

No oil thread here, just a comment or two:smile:
There is plenty of debate about that stuff in other places. Thanks for the welcome!
