I did like the fairings, $3000 is not a bad price considering the mileage, condition and extras you got. Great looking bike

Very interesting read on the early V4's
I remember reading about them in the 80's with all their cam problems and assumed it was just badly made cams
I remember the old cams in my 70's race bikes and thought the cams could have been better machined
At the time I think I had Webb cam rework them, made a big difference

    That romance didn't last long ! :frown-new:

Bike appeared in fine condition; but for $3K, who prefers an old, clunky, cam-destroying '83-'85 VF to a much-improved '86/'87 VFR going forabout the same price ?? Really ??

And Gen 4s seem to be available from $2800-$3500, and they're like from a future planet compared with the VF series. :glee:

I guess you didn't view the Craigslist ad since he is asking $3600 for it now. That price sure is funny and gave me a good chuckle this morning.

Having owned a 1985 Honda Interceptor I'm still in love with that bike. I would still buy a first generation bike. They are the nicest model of V4 engine bike Honda has ever made.

Nice find! When's the last time you were as excited as scoring that purchase? Beautiful bike, I think that fairing could easily grow on me.

One of these days I will find the $$ and parts to put it back the original color. I bought all the body work to get a good tank, that how it ended up looking like an 84.

If you have a link to any maintenance videos for the '84 750 interceptors, can you share them here?? I'd be obliged !!
