I picked up my black 2006 Interceptor today, paid $8,500 before ttl. I moved up from a 599 that I had put 4800 miles on since begining of March. The two bikes are so different. The 599 was light, easy to flick around but buzzy on the superslabs. 70+ on the 599 felt fast, almost faster than the indicated speed. On the VFR, it's so smooth, smoother ride, suspension and engine.

The size and weight is the only thing that makes me hesitant on the VFR. I guess I just have to put some miles behind me at a mild pace.

Any advice is appreciated. Also, what are the top/best mods I could do?

    Marco

PS, I have taken the MSF and the 599 was my starter bike. I had some light experience on dirt bikes.

Welcome dude. Congrats on the new bike. I hope you enjoy it. Good work on taking the MSF course.

An aftermarket exhaust (not too loud) is a good way to shave some weight. That and some $2000 apiece Marchesini wheels... :)

I used to live in PB from 93 to 96, but I didn't ride back then. I had a great time!!

That's cool, I actually live right on the edge of PB in Clairemont. Lots of eye candy that's for sure.

    Welcome.

You'll like the sound coming from the Staintunes as well.
