Were they sold in the USA?

 

They were not imported into the US by Honda. Does not mean there is not one there though.

 

Do you know where they were sold?

 

Europe and Australia as far as I know.

 

Have seen one or two in the uk, there is one being broken on the uk ebay.

 

So this might be a tough bike to get my hands on in the US.
I saw it on line and thought, gee, I'd like to have one of those. But I'm not going to go to GB to get it.
Still, that is a classic style.

 

Could not resist, when jumped here: I do own a 1985 VF1000F2. Nice ride, designed to be a sports tourer, very good in that job, needs more attention in citydriving: heavy thing. Winner in Isle of Man TT in 1985, in production bikes class. Comparing to F:s engine it has double oil pump and oil cooler, line-bored cams, but the camshafts are still chain-driven.
As told, was sold in Europe and Australia only, that is not so good when thinkig availability of parts, new or used. According my parts fiche less than 4000 was built. I live in Finland, and have seen/heard about 5 others here, mine in the picture.

 

That's a beauty!!!
I've only seen pictures of it in white, but the red is eye catching.
