You might look into a BMW R 1200 RT, my buddie has had one for a number of years, did a six week trip around the country a couple of years ago (8,000 mi). He's a bigger guy and the thing is plenty roomy for him and his girl friend. It's all day comfortable, good wind protection, ridiculous range, I think the thing has an almost eight gallon tank! Heated grips and seat, and handles remarkably well in the twisties. It's just a thought, it ain't no VFR, but it's no slouch either, and you won't look like your touring on a two wheeled Barkalounger:playful: I mean, if your into the Barkalounger thing,,,,,,,,,well, to each their own.

Yep the 1200 RT is on the short list. Only reason I'm more interested in the K1600 is that monster engine :p

I have been told that the towing company has taken the proper steps to re-issue a Texas title.

My current dream bike is some big, cheap POS that I can commute on nearly year round. Shaft drive and weather protection needed. Thinking Golding GL1100, Yamaha Venture, ST1100 or Kawasaki Concours 1000 type bikes. Oh yeah, cheap is key. My poor VFR can't stay clean for a day and the damn top case (necessary for commuting) takes away from its good looks.
