    Front forks compatible

Just wondering if the front forks on a 2006 abs vfr 800 vtec will fit a 2002 vfr 800 vtec none abs as i need a new set and struggling to find a good set of non abs ones

    Any help greatly appreciated

Awe good question, but since I don't have a 6th gen for comparison my view me be not worth much0 but? abs is a separate item from the forks, so My first thought is yes they should fit if you where going for just the forks. take a good look of yours and those you are looking at bet they're the same Forks.

Was just looking at the parts fiche for the 2006 VFR800 on my local dealers parts page and they list the same part numbers on the front fork tubes for the 2002 and the 2006. As RVFR suggested, take a good look at yours and the newer ones, but I think they're likely the same forks with maybe different calipers.

Looking at the parts fiche on Partzilla, for example the right hand fork lower fits these models

    2003 VFR800 AC FRONT FORK
    2003 VFR800A AC FRONT FORK
    2004 VFR800 AC FRONT FORK
    2004 VFR800A AC FRONT FORK
    2005 VFR800 AC FRONT FORK
    2005 VFR800A AC FRONT FORK
    2006 VFR800 AC FRONT FORK
    2006 VFR800A AC FRONT FORK
    2007 VFR800 2AC FRONT FORK
    2007 VFR800 AC FRONT FORK
    2007 VFR800A 2AC FRONT FORK
    2007 VFR800A AC FRONT FORK
    2008 VFR800 A FRONT FORK
    2008 VFR800A A FRONT FORK

In the cases where VFR800A is mentioned, these are ABS, and the VFR800 (no A) is for the non-ABS. So conclusively the fork lower fits both ABS and non ABS. Don't worry that 2002 is not in this list as the US did not get the VTEC model until 03.

You will probably find there is a different part for the brake caliper mount bracket on one side as this would need to incorporate a wheel speed sensor.
