I have a 1990 VFR750 and I am in the process of installing the optional centre stand from Honda Last night I removed the two painted metal panel under the brake pedal and the gear shifter These two panel are mounted/screwed to small metal brackets which are bolted to the frame I also noticed that the new centre stand has two small threaded holes, one on each side. My question is do these threated holes in the centre stand replace the need for the metal brackets for the painted metal panels Or do these metal brackets need to be reinstalled on the outside of the centra stand with the centre stand mounting bolts If by chance someone has a 1990-93 VFR750 that has the centre stand with the metal panel, a picture or two of the way the centre stand is installed would be great Thanks
Take a look at this previous post. http://vfrworld.com/forums/showthread.php/31063-3rd-Gen-centerstand-install-instructions-needed
Man, I looked on the net for two hours and could not find an answer to my question I am amazed at the information vfrworld and it's members has Thanks again for the help
LOL, those are my instructions--post-it note and all. But, that's why I scanned them--to help fellow VFR owners--so I can't complain too much when people "forget" where they found them... Yes, you ditch the brackets when you install the stand. Ciao,
