I am working on a newly acquired 98 vfr and need a little help. I didn't remove the tank so not sure how it goes. The banjo bolt on the bottom of tank has two washers. In what order do they go? I put one on each side of banjo connector. Is this correct or are they supposed to be stacked together?

You are correct, one washer on either side of the banjo fitting on the hose. If you look closely at the front brake and clutch master cylinders on the handlebars, you'll see the same type of fitting and washer arrangement where the hoses attach to the master cylinders.

Thanks. I loosened it up and retightened it and it quit leaking. I think I'll start a rebuild thread so I can keep all my questions and other stuff in one place. Thanks again.

The washers are crush washers, which means they can possibly be re-used a few times, but not indefinitely. New ones are cheap. (If you don't buy them from Honda, I mean.)

    Ciao,
