That is simply not true. We can't afford outhouses. Not needed anyways cause it is too cold for anyone to be out to see you and stuff freezes real quick.

Even though that photo was in Lapland, such sights are readily available to see at the higher altitude of BC's west coast Cascade Mountain Range. Except the out house of course. They are called "snow ghosts" Back country skiers and snowmobilers would see lots of them, neither of which I do. But I have had the great opportunity to fly over so many of those a few times in the RCMP helicopter. Beautiful sight. But I am sure this is all stuff you know already, maybe even experienced.

 

Natures sculptures are amazing. Ever see some of the crazy ice formations on the great lakes?

 

Just in photographs. But wind and breaking ice can do serious damage to property. My parent's home on the shores of Pinawa Bay on the Lee River in Manitoba was subject to a fairly strong south west blow one spring at ice break up. The ice was forced against their shore and created a berm of soil almost 3 feet high and about 5 feet thick the whole length of the shoreline. Actually created a nice spot to shelter us from the cool evening winds in early summer or late fall if we wanted to enjoy an evening fire at the beach.

We have a fair amount of ice building up on the shores of the Fraser River arriving here from northern BC over this latest cold spell. A real oddity here.

 

In Michigan we get Ice Balls from the cold winters.

A few went AWOL into your country. A few are still there.

Very sorry to not be humorous in a humor thread. I lost a lot of friends when Nixon and Johnson were in office. Fuck them and Robert McNamara. I have millions of fellow Americans that feel the same about those three people.
