Now that you have a new leader, maybe a good sweep of the country might be in order. Is America able to stand alone in the world, piss off all its foreign aid and helping prop up other countries, tell the rest of the world to piss of and start looking after itself. Put a stop being flooded with cheap imports and try getting its manufacturing going again, this is the only chance of breaking the downhill spiral that has been going on for years. If it doesn't happen now then it will never happen and eventually America will fail as an economic power. Good luck America

 

I agree we need to return to manufacturing and so with the incessant wars. Reinvest the billions we're sending overseas. America needs to produce, not simply consume.

Healthcare is so screwed up and dirty you with likely find your local mechanic more trustworthy and giving better service than the parma companies and doctors. Here whether you live or die is determined by the size of your pocketbook and insurance policy
The same life saving medicines and treatments are given freely in some third world countries. If US medicine were to market cures, they might loose money versus leaving it's victims sick while charging out the nose to treat their symptoms. "God bless America land of greed and money"
A single man can easily move up while spending his money supporting prostitution and drug cartels, a man with children will work twice as hard, for comparable pennies to support his children.

We are in the process here of giving 1Billion dollars to some Indian company to set up and start mining the biggest coal field in the southern hemisphere and they want to employ only Indian labor. We are shutting our coal fired power stations because we are the good guys and want to show the world we are clever (try running industry on solar and wind power) but we can send billions of tons for India to burn, still burns, goes into the atmosphere and floats around the world.

If it was back-page filler, that'd be one thing. Front pages should be there to inform of important events, which wind up influencing thoughts on life and our human circumstances. Making fringe events and persona into everyday headlines confuses and distorts perceptions and opinions. It was stated quite convincingly last year that progressives were in the lead, were what most of us wanted, and that conservative views were mainly held by "deplorables".
