    Hi everyone !

    I am an 30 year old Norwegian, just got a 93 750.
Been riding for 6 years now. I run my local MC club, with about 60 members. I fix bikes as a hobby and find fixing and upgradiding almost more fun than riding sometimes ;)

This VFR will be used as my dali, as i drive a BMW HP4 now, and dont want to waste the KM on driving to work all summer

Here are some pictures of the VFR when i got it a week ago, and now =)

    What a dramatic difference!
Always happy to see someone saving a bike that would otherwise be scrapped.

    Welcome to the VFR family!

Hei, du! And welcome. Looks great so far. You should have that up and running in no time. I would love to have your skill (and money) and be able to do that. I am with Riding a 2000, love to see a bike reborn instead of scrapped. Good luck!

Welcome and really nice work. Is that ice is see on the block in the earlier photographs? Looks like someone just abandoned the bike out in the back 40.

If mine ever packs it in, I will use it as a huge learning tool. I will tear it apart and learn how to rebuild it, no doubt, with help from people here. But it is showing no signs of giving up whereas, I have breaking down myself. Sucks when you body gets older than your mind.

Thanks a lot all of you, the best thing about starting a new project is when you find great forums like this one ! I am looking forward to keeping you guys updated !

And nice Norwegian there Gigem ! hehe;)

Expericane wise, i have been rebuilding bikes, enignes, cars, boats and so on since my early teens, but it all just comes down to, taking it apart, and putting it back together with new screws basically hehe. But when you have to make the part yourself, is when it gets satisfying !
But no one gets experiance for not trying. Some one hwo is good at any thing, is just a guy who have made all the mistakes (and hopefully learned hehe)

As for the engine, there was not ice, just corrosion on the alu basically. The eninge and frame took about 5 hours each to clean.
Money vise, I dont have a lot. I buy broken things, fix them up. And sell them for a small sum of money, to get money for a new project. I dont have a real fancy house, of car. No kids, and i rent out my bottom floor apartment.
I got this bike for next to nothing, and I use ebay allot, so i save a lot of money there (Norway is not cheap in any means). And at my workplace i am verry fortunate to have a lot of great tools, (and paint :livid:)
So the bike +the build i guess wil end at around 800£ give or take, that is the budget i have made in my mind anyways hehe.. But then i will have a brand new looking bike and more experiance ! If i can give inspiration to you guys as well it would be awesome !

I will start a build thread, so not to spam the "hello" thread ;)

Just to be a dickhead, here is the boat and bike :strawberry:

And I thought I was having issues when I was fixing the rear rack and panniers without the original bolts and nuts :D

Nice to see some more Scandinavians here :)
