I have a VFR in my garage I'm happy with and that's exactly what I wanted considering every other motorcycle on the market today. I can write a check for the 84K Aprila and keep on going fine. Me and a lot of other people don't want one. Being able to write that kind of check for a motorcycle doesn't even come close to meaning someone is wealthy. What's the big deal about Honda? They don't see the need to market that way today and I don't see the need for them to do it either. Drifting right along here.......; )
I'm happy with my VFR, but it's just that the VFR like the 86 was a true sporting machine, is why I'd like an updated version of the same. I wouldn't spend $84k if I had it, when say the Tuono can do probably 90% as good considering it's a street bike the VFR could be for a lot less. in fact i'm still thinking pretty hard on it. I was just thinking along the lines of Honda having such machines available working with x public that might like to have one. But Honda doesn't care like they use too is all. It's good to Dream.
Fireblade drops this year....its got a ton of fancy track electronics and its in the same price range as the other superbikes....not an 80,000$ track toy but looks like it could keep
I think some of you guys are missing the point here. The 83k GP bike IS a race bike with support. Its actually an excellent price for what you get. The bike that normal non race riders could ride and do track days is 18k, the SSTK1. It is a phenomenal bike too. But the GP is the real deal, no one on the planet has pneumatic valves in a bike you can buy and race right out of the box, that thing is a beast.
