You might want to wait on that; I've seen these pics before, around this time last year to be precise. They were calling them the new 2007 models.

Sure you can post these anywhere you want, but as I stated in my original post, I am not sure they are real, as I got them off of another forum. If that doesn't bother you, go for it!

    Vfr1000

Thanks for the pictures. They seem to match what Motorcyclenews recently said: namely, that Honda submitted the patent application for the new VFR; I assume more news will be coming (probably not from Honda!) soon as details are leaked. So, looks like we will be needing a new "7th generation" forum pretty soon? Honda had to do something what with all the improvements to sport touring bikes from the competition. I just bought a 2003 VFR and love it; but a 1000 cc without VTEC...

    :puke: '08 VFR

I've seen some photos of the supposed patented 1000cc vfr and it looks super bubbly and ugly.

The dealer conference is sometime in the next week.... I spoke with one of the Honda guys at my dealer and he said the rumors about the new bikes are rampant.... There are test bikes running around in Europe with V twin and V four engines and 1000rr bodywork. Honda is keeping the suspense up right now. I don't know if this is VFR's future though. I think the 1000rr will get its redesign this year but all the 1000cc v-four and twin talk is for an RC-51 replacement to fill that gap with something to compete with the 1098. Remember the displacement change for the Ducati twins to 1200 in WSB would allow them to compete against Honda again but with 200cc more displacement. Its been a tough year for Ducati with the 999. If Honda could enter a twin into WSB the Ducati might not turn it into the Ducati Cup again. It will be a good move on their part and allow the new CBR to get a break from the beatings it is getting from the Yosh Suzukis in AMA Superbike. Honda seems to sell a lot of cruisers and sportbikes. Sportbike sales depend on racetrack results... In Europe the 1000rr is doing well but here in the states not so much. It may be time to get back to a twin on the track to get the image up and sell some bikes.... What this means for the VFR is the big question. I thought it might stay but there seems to be less and less support for it in the line up.

I think reading the following will answer a lot of initial speculation on the 2008 VFR--this is from Motorcyclenews:

2008 Honda VFR revealed in new motorcycle patent
    By Ben Purvis
    New bikes
    16 August 2007 10:20
Details of Honda’s 2008 VFR1000 have been revealed in a newly published motorcycle patent document – which shows the motorcycle to have a radical new frame design. The Honda V-four sports tourer motorcycle, which gets a capacity boost to 1000cc for next year with an all-new engine, features a two-piece chassis, with separate front and rear sections. The engine itself provides the majority of the motorcycle's frame strength.

For details see the article at: http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/N...6072008hondavfrrevealedinnewmotorcyclepatent/

If the blue model is truly a representation - I hope they don't. That thing is FUGLY. With all that money and still can't get someone to help out your style.
