Here are a couple pics of the rack and the license holder that I got from Thurn Motorsports in Germany. Easy to deal with, but it does take 28-30 days for delivery. These two items are really well made and a perfect fit. The one closeup pic shows how I drilled the cover plates to fit the spacers provided for the rack. I bought two new ones from the dealer so that I have two complete ones to use. You can put the rack on top of the grab rails if you want. I think it looks better without.

Nice! It's always good to hear when someone does a write up on products like that.

Oh, you got a link for those interested?

Thurn website: http://www.thurn-motorsport.de/html/ubersicht.html go to VFR then pick your model of VFR from the left side menu. There are two identical lists of products. The top is in German, the bottom one English.

(Hey Goinphaster or Anthony, did you get my reply about the group purchase of heated grips from Japan?)

the email address is listed on the site. it is: info@thurn.motorsport.de

the guy who responds to emails might be the owner, not sure, but his name is Gerhard. you can ask him the current exchange rate also. glad that you are getting into the sport of motorcycling. it needs young and old riders. sometimes i just see older guys like myself and it worries me. take your time accessorizing your bike. ask questions and go slow before buying stuff that may seem like a good idea, but are worthless. trust me, i have several worthless items.

If you check my other post (http://vfrworld.com/forums/general-vfr-discussions/9354-my-new-chainguard.html) I show pictures of the chainguard that I picked up from Thurn Motorsports about 10 or so months ago. I love the chainguard, but just not the color that they painted it, so I had it powdercoated black. I like the quality and fit as well. Having ordered things from Germany before, this one took a looooooooong time to get to me compared to them. No worries, I got it, and love it....after it was painted. It looks TEN TIMES better than that bulky stock guard and makes the left side of the bike look much cleaner/purty!

    Thurn stuff

the chainguard is nice. good idea on the powdercoating. you can also order a number of the Thurn items from this Canadian ebay store: http://stores.ebay.ca/THURN-MOTORSPORT costs and shipping are about the same as ordering from Germany.

note they sell the alloy chainguard. they don't carry all of the Thurn accessories that are listed on the website

    nice

thats what i was looking to get the chainguard. thats awesome looking. I wanna also get a full exhaust system and remove the stock pipesbut keep the undertail pipes the same i like that look. and get the o2 eliminators, get comp remapped. i know honda has this bike booged down on power, they do the same on cars. i would also like the get a license plate holder kinda different than the stock look.
