Hi, apologies that my first post is a request for help. I have a 1993 750. The lower centre fairing was not on the bike when I got it, so I didn't have the benefit of seeing how it fits together. I am now attempting to reinstall the 'lower centre fairing'. How in hades does a person with average size fingers reinsert the trim clip? I have attached a picture of the section that is causing grief. Looks fine when off the bike, but seems almost impossible when attempting to put it on the bike. The workshop manuals (I have both an aftermarket one and the factory Honda version) give no clues as to exact positioning. So I'm assuming I have things lined up correctly, starting from the outside it should go: clip, fairing, bracket. Does that sound right? And then how do you get your fingers into such a confined space, with the top fairing and indicators pressing hard up against it?

    Photo update

Thanks for the replies guys. I had a look at cmsnl, it is the correct part according to their website for an Australian model 1993 F P. It's part number 53 (trim clip) that I'm attempting to fit. There's 4 of these in total. The bottom pair are easy. It's just the top pair that are in such a confined space. I do also have all the number 52 (panel clip) for the job, 8 in total, and seemingly straightforward to fit. Perhaps it's overkill? That lower centre fairing is held by 14 separate fasteners.
BTW, the first photo was for demonstration purpose only. The metal bracket you see with the fairing and clip was just a generic bracket I inserted for the photo.

I'm on hols and can't look at my FP at the moment, but FYI, I ran my bike without the centre lower fairing piece for several months with no probs. I plan to replace the whole thing with a section of stainless steel mesh covering the entire opening. (But that is down the road a bit--still working on re-doing the wiring harness!) I'm happy to have a look at the centre fairing mounts when I get back home next week.

    Ciao,
