RedDukeRider (Pete) passed away before getting to finish his VFR. He was a dear friend and a great person. I now have the VFR and have been installing the RC51 forks. It has been going pretty good. Even though I have no where to work on it but my trailer. Pete already had the forks reworked by Ohlins and he had a 129 lower tree so I used a 129 upper and it worked out great. They used the same bearings as the VFR. I painted the wheels for Pete before I retired from body work. I am down to clipons and am having a hard time deciding what to use. Pete had some 1000RR clipons but they do not seem usable. I have heard that the VFR1200 clipons are a good choice but they are hard to find. Woodcraft Racing has a set that looks interesting ( https://www.woodcraft-cfm.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?search=action&category=OOOX) I am going to finish it and my wife Deb and I will ride it. I have no plans to sell it. Deb had a VFR800 in the past and she loved it. Anyways that's where I am at. More to come.
