This guy reminds me of the "Golden Ears" back in the '70s when I sold high end audio equipment. All they did was talk about the equipment and how they could hear the difference between 10' and 15' of wire. It was never about the music! It's never about the enjoyment of the ride.

Your best bang for your buck is getting an antelope to ride your special ass.

That doubt was proven with pictures of his tires, HUGE CHICKEN STRIP and the videos of him shifting slower than dog shit sliding up hill. Seriously he was on the limiter for a few seconds at the top of every gear lol! This guy couldn't launch his way out of a wet paper bag. I bet he would struggle to get into the 11's.

Nah, if he wanted to go fast on roads with no turns, should have just bought a 'busa with a stretched swingarm

If you check Craigslist Atlanta there is a pretty good selection of 4th,5th and 6th Gen VFR's for sale. I think the main purpose of having a 5th Gen is to be able to have an under $5k motorcycle and be able to put on as many miles as you want year after year

In OCT, I bought my (3rd) Y2K VFR800, under 12k mi., came with new tires under 200 mi.; paid $2.5k cash.

I much rather spend $3K on trackdays that would allow me gain experience/skills to use the engine power output in stock form rather than mods that increase the power output and not have the skills to use them.

This statement depicts your personal choice of purpose and intent for your VFR. It's most important because it's your choice of how you decide to spend your time, effort and money. For myself, at this point in my life I have investment portfolios that I fund every pay period. My VFR pupose is to reduce mileage on my other vehicles and have a hobby because I am good with the tools. My goal is to use my VFR as much as possible and put a many miles as I want on my motorcycle that I mostly use to go to work to earn money. I could actually afford to buy just about any motorcycle I want but find the 5th Gen VFR the best motorcycle ever produced, based upon my situation and requirements. Most people tend the over-compensate for a variety of reasons nobody would ever really want to know

Too bad you have to work to earn money for your hobby.

If you can afford any motorcycle you want, why limit yourself to just (one) VFR?

If you use the VFR as much as possible as a commuter to get to work, why bother with all the mods that likely reduce its reliability?

Seems to me that you are over-compensating.
