So anything over 54,999.99 pesos is a classic? A couple more examples would cinch the deal for me..

I have a friend from work who rides a SilverWing much like the one in your link. Said he got it from his dad, who bought it new.

references to classic, antique, vintage and vetern bike designations

obviously these terms mean slightly different things to different people in different locations, but in by specific references in writing somewhere, insurance definitions, race sanctioning bodies, major mc collector clubs...

    classsic 25+ years old
    antique 35+ yrs old
    Vintage:
    pre 1975 motocross
Post 1975 road racing??? Doesn't mention older than 19xx in the article.

That certainly clears up any possible differences.

Now I'm wondering if my "classic" 1991 VFR will be seeing an insurance increase because it's a classic?

We can be sure of at least one thing when an insurance company determines the classification of a bike or group of bikes that it ain't gonna take a 50K motorcycle to be in the classic category.

Each state probably has statutes in place defined by the DMV as to what is what. This is Oregon's definition:

    http://www.odot.state.or.us/forms/dmv/6577fill.pdf

Several "classic" definitions. Some are specific some vague.

Having a cuppa one day in Seattle with a bud and this ( I think) a restored 1964 Studebaker Lark ragtop cruised by and my bud says something to the effect that "there goes a classic". For sure...Bud! His name is actually Hubert but everyone calls him Bud.
