Rain, rain go away

Lol, I almost forgot about that song, funny thing is I still know all the lyrics by heart.
I rode to work the day after my original post and had to ride home in a downpour that evening.
Stayed pretty dry on the freeway ,then I get on a stretch of 2 lane w/o passing zones... my shoes ,about 6 inches above my ankles and my arms up to my elbows ended up wet From not having the right shoes/ pants and not cinching up my wrist straps well.
I though I would never get my shoes to dry.

Since I couldn't find my insulated Matterhorn work boots, I went and got an inexpensive pair of steel toed boots (required at work) and dug out a pair of actual rain pants, and a light waterproof top (textile riding jacket actually does well) just in case.
Haven't let the sub 30℉ mornings stop me from riding might as well not let the rain stop e either. Missing my morning ride has so far threw my day off more than anything else.

It's odd I expect the road to be slick especially after a light or first rain in a while, but after nearly a week of raining there were intersections that were still greasy and slick
