I am the proud owner of an 1987 f2 and have been one for going on 18 years. I am the second owner bought ny VFR in 1990. It is currently going through a resurrection process to bring it up to specs. My VFR has been "parked" for the last 5 years. Those of you with second generation VFR's may have heard of Chuck Crites. He is a second generation VFR specialist and is performing the restoration including carb cleaning, body work freshening, and engine tuning. He also installed a new upper, he makes 2nd generation VFR body work, including tanks. Mechanical updates include: complete F3 cartridge front end with heavier 1kg. racetech springs. An F3 rear wheel with michelin pilot radials on both ends. Fox twin clicker shock is handling suspension in the rear. I currently have 12,000 miles on my classic and am looking forward to at least that many more. Good luck and Godspeed to everyone out there on your VFR travels! Let me know what you think.
