Hello everyone I have been working on this bike for two years ive torn it down completely redid bearings and painted and coverted all the rust, I managed to unseize the engine as she had been sitting in old mates shed for ten years and never been started since.
I've had a spinal injury and have only just started to throw myself back at her im wondering if any of you wonderful people would have any photos that can trace how they sat the factory loom? Or a work around with these cdi's so I can ascertain if she's going to spark for me, I had primitive system going but upon tearing it off I realised I had missed the cdi in my jury rig.
My EX is keeping the workshop manual and wiring is not my wheel house old mate also decided to chop a lot of the connections and plugs especially from the engine so it's quite a headache!
Any help would be much appreciated I'm just trying to restore it to its former glory!

I would be glad to take detailed pictures next week. Got pull the carbs again to fix leaky bowl gasket. I know how hard it is to remember how things are supposed to go.

I can take some photos of a NOS 83 wiring harness so you know where all the connectors are.
I don't really think there is a workaround if you don't have the igniters.

    Hi Fazer6 - welcome to the MadHouse:welcome:

You certainly have taken on quite a challenge! Its great to see VFRWorld living up to its name with offers of help from opposite sides of the planet, and hopefully you will be able to make progress.

As for the future, you may want to update your forum profile to include the specs of your VFR and an approximate location - town/city is fine so the information appears alongside all your posts. We already have quite a number of Antipodean forum members so if you need help with the project you may find someone living nearby may be willing to swing by and offer advise - especially if you have a well stocked beer fridge.

Kudos for adding photos with your first post and keep us updated with the project.
