Battery replacement query..

Hey again guys,

I was wondering if anyone knew if I could replace the battery in my '89 750 ~ FK from a lead acid (which is now dead) to a sealed gel?

I spent ages locating a battery + acid when I last did this but was wondering if it was possible with no ill effect to just switch to a decent battery!

Battr'y replacement

Yea, verily ye can use the sealed battr'y, but sizes usually don'ty match, and ye'll need to find a slightly smaller unit, same amperage, but smaller package, a wee beastie it is. But warning, it's way costly, so much quid impossible if ur on the dole with this rotten government, eh ??

Always do a charging test every time a battery is replaced or ye won't git far.

As long as its a motorcycle battery 12v then it does not matter how it is constructed.Sealed battery is best.

 

The ytz12s is a bit big for my battery box on my 86 does anyone know what the largest size is that will fit

 

You could always see if there's a LiFe battery that has the right amperage. Those are so small they would fit in anything. This is a good company:
