I read the article in cycle world and was pleased that they still liked the bike since it won there top sport touring award every year . But the have to say three bad things in there minus colume #1 "veteck loud and annoying" . Ya I just hate that rush of power.#2 "Bags cost 1000 dollars." I didn't get them but what hard bags worth a darn dont cost a grand?#3 "exposed header pipes are ugly-bugly". I dont even know whay to say to that. I guess there isnt realy any thumbs down for a vfr800.:first:

I actually love the look of the rear header pipes. If it weren't for heat issues, I'd remove the cover/shield so I could see more!

I agree; their lame cons tell you how great the bike really is.

Must be a pretty good bike, if that's all they can find to gripe about.

I'm with all of you on this one. I read the article too, pairing it up with the BMW F800ST. Speaks highly of the Honda. I had a 2006 Kawasaki Z750S naked bike that I traded in for the VFR. It vibrated, buzzed and simply was a pain to deal with. The VFR is absolutely so refined and there isn't really anything to complain about. I'm so glad I bought this Honda!

Since they have to put something in the "Cons" column, it is good to see that everything in there is strictly an opinion as opposed to a real issue or problem. I don't understand the VTEC complaint - with the stock exhaust, the sound is distinct, but yet very quiet. I'd love to hear VTEC kick in with an aftermarket exhaust. It must sound awesome (I'm still running stock).
