hwyix, in my thirty years of riding and only looking at what you are in givi, I have never seen them on sale. I kept looking back in '95 for a set on my Gpz1100. Still great bags but are pricey. I want the OEM but they are just as much. Good Luck. I went soft bags for now. $169.00 for saddle bags and tail bag from Viking Bags. Not amazing but for the price of other soft bags I got the tail bag as a throw in!;-)

I have a set of soft Chase Harper bags that serve me well. I had a Kawasaki Concors for a while with hard bags and I thought I would love them but I didn't. The soft bags haul just as much and I can carry them one handed to my room when I am on the road. Just my two cents. If I was commuting I would probably dig the hard bags more.

I don't need hard cases for commuting. When I arrive at work I just put all my stuff there and I leave a pair shoes in the office.

I went ahead and purchases some cases. Looking forward to having a place to put my stuff.

    Thanks for the feed back.

    What cases did you get?

BTW, I always use a tank bag.

Looks like you made the choice. Good riding to you! If I ever have the money I may go hard bags as well.

    6 gen
I have these. I like them more on my 6 gen than I do the oem bags. only down side is that they will not fit a full face helmet. way cheaper. they use the same set up as the givi bags. in fact I have givi mounts with kappa bags.
I bought the mounts first so I could throw soft bags on the bike with out scratching it until I had money for bags. found these and the fit perfect.

Can't go wrong with just the Givi V47----can't imagine EVER wearing a back pack again. Also fits my Dainese jacket and Neo plus my disc lock for work.
If only I could get rid of the 7 on my box----
