Alexlok: That is one of the reason I got them, didn't want to hassle trying to switch the stock ones. Made the overall install alot easier. (and preserved the OEM bars)

Thanks for the tip. I also just ordered the Vibranator. I can't be bothered to switch out the damper, plus I get to leave the stock bars fully stock.

Did you get your Vibranators? I ordered some in October and never got them. No response to my emails, either, or the paypal dispute.

I'm wondering if they're still in business.

I too ordered a set, on October 9th. Communication via email with 'Don' has been very difficult. Only reply I got was this, on October 19th:
I replied on the same day with my answer - carry on with the order. Sent another email on October 29th to find out if the bar ends had shipped the week prior, never got a reply. Sent another email this Saturday November 5th to again request a shipment date - this time with a Read Receipt. The email was read later that night at 2am...

    This is going nowhere.

Bummer. I like the idea, and people say it really helps, but when you have stopped communicating and ignore paypal disputes for weeks at a time there has to be something bigger going wrong. I'm afraid Don is out of business, he just hasn't admitted it yet.

I seem to have problems in the vibration area. My hand gets just a little numb -- my 3rd gen never had that problem -- so I've been trying to improve the problem. I ordered vibranators, never got them as I mentioned.

I ordered grip puppies and they're AWFUL! They spin around the grip. It's super exciting when you're taking off in traffic and the throttle suddenly goes to zero as you're leaned over and letting the clutch out... Ugh. I'm actually wondering if I got a bad set of grip puppies, or maybe someone on Amazon is selling counterfeits. There's no way they have that many good reviews and are generally as bad as mine.

I'm afraid to try a throttlemeister. That's a long-lived company with a great product for folks like us. I'm afraid if I send them an email there'll be an earthquake under their factory. I'd feel bad buying from them and passing the jinks along.

Yes, i got them in the end. After a month's delay with no news, I shot Don another email and he said he "completely forgot" and then a week later, I got an email saying they were shipped (and I live in Hong Kong). So it seems quite hit and miss with his customer service.

    Thanks. Glad you got yours.

I guess I'll hold off on trying something else until the paypal dispute is cleared, at least.

Sorry to hear you're having such an issue with them. They really do work, I have a set for my '99 and for my '86 FJ1200. The vibration wasn't really that intrusive, but just a tad annoying. I hate to see a good product disappear.

Grip puppies are excellent, you have to pull them tight to the Velcro when installing-- been using now almost 5 years with no problems. Thanks for reminding me , time to order more.

Wait -- @duccmann my grip puppies had no velcro at all. Just a foam tube to slide over the grip.

@FJ12rydertoo, I'm bummed too. Didn't mean to derail this thread, just saw someone who ordered a vibranator just before I did and wanted to know if it was a zombie company or what. Hate to see small businesses go down, but it happens. I've been that guy with a business I couldn't sustain, and after enough struggling to keep up it gets downright depressing. I hope Don gets himself sorted, whether vibranator stays in business or not.

Thanks. There may be hope that I get them one day.

Which other bar ends would suit the bill instead of the OEM or the Vibranators?

    Spaced 1/4 above the tree...

Hey how did you space it as described? Did you use a spacer like a washer or just leave a gap of 1/4 inch and tighten the Allen screw? The directions as supplied with my delivery from heli don't say to do this so how did you know to do it? And did this extra height mean that the fluid reservoirs will hit the fairing if wheel is cranked all the way left or right?

Lovely narration and how-to. Skimmed through it, but what got me was that beautiful GTO. Noice!!! Love the color too. All the ones in my hometown are as one VFR owner said down under in another thread "are ketchup colored". They are becoming even more rare to see. Lovely VFR too. That pearl is stunning. Haven't seen one in the wild and bet pics do it no justice. I will bookmark this, as there may be some type of addition in the future on the '04 and definitely one on the '99 due to RC51 forks. Making my way to the Thanks button.
