I've got stuff for that. Hopefully soon to get green plantlike stuff for that at government expense. Except mine was lumbar spine....three times. Have never tried ebson salt. Should try that. Haven't had a bath for about 20 years though. Wonder if I stink yet.

There is stuff out there that is capsule form and non mind numbing so that's what I am after. Regardless, I will eat it before I smoke it. I can't stand the smell of that shit.

Well I was looking for something to do that was relaxing, so I wet sanded and polished my friends bike. LOL. Yes, there are those who consider me nuts but honestly, it's easy work that I personally find relaxing. His bike shall be residing in my garage over the winter since he lives in an apartment and didn't want to leave it outside.

Removed some deep deep scratches with 2000 grit, then did the whole bike with 5000 grit and went on to polishing. I've been experimenting with some new polishes at work and they work really well. The polishes are made by a company called Menzerna and they specialize in auto, marine and industrial polishes and compounds. The auto polishes have a long work time before they start to haze and dry. This long work time helps prevent the possibility of burning through the paint. Here's a link to the website in case there are any detailers out there in VFR land who are interested in trying something new.

    https://www.menzerna.com/products/polishes/car-polishes/

All of the Menzerna polishing compounds are silicone free and body shop grade, and produce amazing results. Really nice products to work with IMHO. Anyway, I started the compounding with 400 Heavy cut, then the 2500 medium cut and finally the 3 in 1 polish to finish it off. The bike was repainted last year with a pearl black color used on the 2014 and up Fords and it has blue, red and silver flakes and looks amazing in the sunlight. With all the contours the whole surface sparkles in different colors when you look at it from different angles. Honestly the photos don't do it justice. Some of the photos look like the paint is covered in dust but that is honestly the metal flake reflecting the sunlight.

Sitting with a heated massage back chair cushion... playing internet.

Thinking I need a muscle relaxer for my back, so... All this talk of rum has me thirsting for my favorite setup:

Kahlua Midnight Rum, 50/50 with Bacardi white, (as the fun/tasty part); then mixed over ice with a can of Canada Dry ginger ale.

Heading for the insulated glass right now.

Are you suggesting that you freebase the Epsom salts or bathe in them?
I can't comment on freebasing the Epsom but if you want to bathe in them it will increase their efficacy by a factor of at least five, if you include a friendly woman in the bathing plan.
Just my 10 cents worth (7 US cents).

That sounds like a grand idea mate. Maybe we could meet up for a lap of Coromandel, would be about the same distance from home for both of us I'd guess. There's some great riding out to Raglan as well.

I've spent all day with my two wheeled toys. I decided to check the valves and cam chain tension on the VTR, which is a bigger job that you'd imagine and required removal of the carbs and radiators, in addition to all the bodywork. Cleaned the carbs while I was in there, the cams and chains were spot-on. Stupidly I had a rush of blood to the head and buttoned everything up, took a short ride, then remembered that I'd forgotten to torque the cam holder bolts! So that all had to be pulled right down again. Bugger.

Then it was time for the VFR, and had a great dry run , enjoyed the traction and ground clearance after the ST yesterday, and the new Metzeler Roadtec 01 tyres are awesome, and seem to be very hard wearing as well. Killed a lot of bugs in 150km!

AM, thanks for the great pictures, you're very inspirational.

I think you may have come upon why SOW is so zoned oot. Freebasing the Epom salts and the wrong kind of sort of woman in the tub are a hypergolic mixture.

Accounting for the arbitrage is beyond me ken, I am on the peso system and will remain so until The Donald becomes ruler of the galaxy.

No motorcycles were harmed in this example.

Great soft sell intro. Were you using samples? Any comparison to 3M products?

The non-use of silicones in the formulary is a plus. Looks like if you buy in sufficient amounts the product can be custom packaged. This is done regularly by firms repackaging products from Meguirs and Eagle One. Perhaps even 3M (??)

I wonder if they have anything to fix that red van in the shot of the bike? I think that might not be in the area of relaxing.

Took another ride today ... St.Malo Provincial Park. Just sitting here having a coffee from my press by a fire.

I stopped in St.Pierre-Jolys for some supplies before making the last few Km to the park.

The park is gated off and I had to break in by driving the VFR down some donkey trails.

There are a few people jogging here and some kids in the playground. The sites are all packed up for the year.

    :love_heart:

    The beach is empty ...

No firewood left or vendor around ... thankfully no Park Rangers around to tell me I have to put a helmet on if I decide to move my bike 50 feet.

    I'm going to need firewood.

No one here to deliver or help me haul though :( ... so I brought some from home and made a fire to make coffee ....

Now I sit and drink my coffee.

It is only about 11C out, but it's supposed to go to 18C. It feels chilly though due to the strong wind. Thankfully I wore my heated jacket liner and my heated grips kept my hands warm ...

So many Harley's littering the side of the road today. No wonder they travel in herds.

I hope you weren't snorting the fumes from that plastic bottle burning in your campfire. Then again you might have been inventing a new coffee variation. The Bodum/Plastique Stairway to Heaven Latte.

Great pix. Many ad spots and selfies all rolled into a single frames.

Actually, no soft sell at all, just a comment on the use of the products over the last few months and a general like of their product. I have used 3M polishing co,pounds in the past and always found that after a few washes or a while sitting out in the hot sun, I would start noticing swirls returning. Granted this took quite awhile but no one likes having to redo a job a few days or weeks later.

After repairing a car for a local auto body painter I was introduced to a product called Farecla. Farecla has a compounding product called G3 and it is a polishing compound that should be used with water for maximum effectiveness and efficiency. The G3 is a heavy cut compound and by continually adding water to the surface, without adding extra compounding product, the G3 breaks down into a finer and finer grit polish. The nicest thing about the G3 is that the finish you are left once you have completed the polishing is the end result. You can wipe the surface down right after with rubbing alcohol and the finish will not dull or haze. If there is a down side to using the Farecla it is that the product, being used with water, can be messy and require some clean-up afterwards. Not really a huge problem, but it does add time to the process.

The main difference I have noticed with the Menzerna product line is that, since the product does not require water, there is nearly no clean-up time. Since the product also has a long work time, it is a little easier to use for novice polishers and those at my shop who are just learning. The Menzerna line of polishing compounds is more expensive than Farecla but the amount of product used is much lower due to the longer work time, at least in my experience.

The person who introduced me to the product is a local detail supplier. He also was a long time user of Farecla and still loves the product, but he has personally started using the Menzerna line of polishes, and thought I might like to give the product a try.

Even for me, polishing the red van would be anything BUT relaxing.
