Ahh, no, I should have looked way closer and at a photo of one. The old Wariths are creepy looking. And stars as the villian's vehicle in one of my favorite books: NOS4A2. Rolls makes them.

I didn't recognize that as a Chevy at all. I'm an Asian vehicle lover. ;)

    It's a 1935 Chevrolet Sedan.

Could be that that particular Police vehicle was made in France. The Japanese were making their versions of Fords in the 1930s and their versions of Harleys in the 1920's.

Some of the features of the 1935 Chevvies were babbit cranks and kneeaction front end in all but the economy models like the EA Coupe.

Had one..Traded it to a guy for a beater 1936 Willys Coupe and swapped that for a BSA Gold Star.

No, I didn't buy them new....

The guy I swapped for the Willys put a small block Ford in the EA coupe. The Willys went to a drag racer who turned it into a track only drag car. I came out just fine, those Gold Stars were good bikes.

I grew up South of you guys up Ventura and Santa Barbara way in the Long Beach area. The Lions Drag Strip was about a quarter mile from my folks house. I used to walk there and sort of tailgate. A hole in the fence and a PB&J sandwich. I was a very fancy kid..

Lots of cars and bikes..The LA basin in numbers of bikes and cars was uncounted. Probably still is in real numbers. Had a few that if I still had..or could afford at the time I would be a fancy dude..

Just one. I had a 1946 Ford Sedan with a four cylinder flathead engine. Traded that one for a 1936 Ford 5 window coupe. A good trade at the time. Not so much now..

    Cheers,

Honestly I'm supprised it's not legal to shoot people wandering the streets looking like that, it'd certainly put a stop to this nonsence.

PB&J tailgate. Billy that reminds me of when I was a student at the University of Florida and we could either buy a student ticket for the game or a 6 pack of beer. So we bought a 6 pack and watched the game from a big oak tree in the in the north end zone just outside of the stadium. Now the north end is enclosed and you can't play Feesbie at 2 am on the field anymore.

Sounds like you had some great endzone seats to go with the refreshments. The Golf team at the UoH used the field for a short driving range. I had great "seats" for the home games and a few of the away games at Rice. I was shooting for some of the parents and was right on the sidelines. Got dumped a couple of times too for not watching the ball..
