Yes I think you are correct, sadly. Still I should be happy to be old enough to enjoy a senior moment and still ride regularly.

Can you post a pic of the installed grips? I've always done the pads underneath but grips would be easier. Wondering if they look nice and since they are open on the end what kinda plugs did you get. They do seem very pricey!!!

*wondering if my ride puts out enough extra juice?

Ask and ye shall receive... what do you mean about the end plugs? All sport grips have open ends for the bar weights. I'm using the OEM bar weights.

I live in the Houston area so I have not had the need for heated grips until now. Planed to take the VFR to Arkansas and needed the heated grips for sure.

Cycle Gear had the track side ones on sale for 39 bucks so ....here they are.

I installed them with the throttle miser speed control. They performed flawlessly.

At first I did not like the Playschool looking controller knob ...but after using the grips and adjusting them at speed, it proved to be just the ticket.

    Nice bike. Correct year.

Note that I might have a bit of a prejudicial attitude.

I cannot get the (and excuse the phrase) "The Bitch off" I've tried everything and the plastic is all torn to crap. I am lucky if the original will still stay on now that it flaps a little. If I do anything else I am going to get the cutting torch out and cut the F@#$@#$ off. ;-) and duct tape the license plate on. :) Plastic clips, bits, fasteners and I have a long history of hating one another. I am inpatient and they are born out of satan's womb!;-) If you want to fasten use metal that is the way god intended it to be! I think that is somewhere in the mechanics bible or the Book of Mormon. I cant remember.:) Oh wait. I think it is in the Book of Mormon "Those of white metal should not be married to those of black, pink or yellow plastic....." I going to hell for that.

Installed a Stebel horn. Holly hell is it loud. Bought the wire harness kit with relay at the same time and made the job very simple. Got to use it on the way to work, girl texting next to me started to drift into my lane right next to me. I lit her up and she looked like a deer in the headlights. She drove with both hands on the wheel after that.

Thanks buddy, appreciate it!!! My ride doesn't have bar weights. Stock grips on right now and they are closed. The bars themselves have a piece welded in to closed them off. Guess I need to look into this more as those Oxfords won't work as i'd like. I might just call up the company and see what they recommend.

What did I do to my VFR today?

I spent hours trying to find a quality rear widow defogger seeing as winter is just around the corner. None to be found. Maybe I will design one and sell them on line myself. I will make millions!

I need the pair and flapper mods done still.
But I did work on a few moto details and got to ride to work today. Hope some peeps will notice the difference.
I'm getting ready to take the long way home.
