In all seriouseness, I'm really very sorry about your loss. You have been one of the good guys around here for a very long time, it's a fooking travesty that it has ended this way. Seattle is really more famous for espresso than microbrews. There are both places where an exposed pinkey will get those so inclined, a quickie.

 

I won't leave a bike outside or unattended. One thing about having a really nice machine, you can't let them out of your sight. It is kind of a double edged sword.

Motorcycle chop shops are as sophisticated in all aspects as chop shops for cars. Ten to one Alaskan's bike is in parts and those are already pre-purchased or on the market. Limiting this to specific geographical areas is BS. This is big business.

 

That's because your mommy and your daddy raised you the right way!

 

Badbilly, either this was a crime of opportunity committed by locals (which I do not believe likely) or a crime committed by outsiders who have already parted out the bike. Keep your eyes peeled for CZ wheels for a VFR. Pretty rare!

I know I felt so violated when someone broke into my car to steal stuff, nevermind a whole vehicle.

I will never understand someone with that level of self-entitlement to someone else's hard earned toys.

 

For really cool sparks replace the feeler bolts on the pegs with high magnesium bolts from an aircraft surplus outlet. What a great way to make a dramatic exit from a bike night.

Those neon kits are cool too for those who need them.

Stealing is something I honestly don't understand. I don't find working for what I want to be that objectionable. Thieves used to be crucified publicly. What's wrong with that? Now we give them a rack, three meals, a TV, and weights. What's wrong with that?
