Could they not make them bigger--looks like this year is a race to make the most ugly-assed cans...big ugly piece of crap hanging out there, especially the GSXR.

Thanks for posting up the pictures, especially the hotties.

ps. i'd like to ride that A too!

Yeah the pics of the Aprilia don't do it justice, and never before had I felt such an urge to ride a Kymco :tongue-new: The Hondas, as usual, looked very conservative.

I think I would've spent a lot of time at the Kymco booth. :love_heart:

Yeah I'm surprised I didn't end up buying a Kymco while I was there - lol.
Here's a vid I made of me riding around on a Yamaha R3 while I was there in case anyone's interested, it was a fun little bike!

I'm guessing that new CBR has LED headlights like our 8th gens? If so, did you happen to get a good look at them to see if they made any changes/improvements to the overall design?

Dave, here's a quick vid closeup of the lights, of course they're not on though so it's hard to tell how different they might be from our 8th gen. I did notice the turn signals appear to be all led now unlike the '16 RR and our 8th gen. One thing I'll say from being at the show is that bikes that don't have LED headlights are looking dated - so even though our 8th gens are already 3-4 model years old, they still look fresher than many newer bikes.

Thanks Greg. It looks like there are at least 6 separate leds on each side, firing down into the reflector, the same way ours do. If that is the case, I can see that being a significant improvement to the light pattern.

Here's my testride of the BMW S1000RR, sorry for my embarrassing behavior and foul language but I was pretty excited :glee: I'll be uploading my testride of the Hayabusa later. I also edited my first post above to add a few more pics from the show.

re: green HD. i know at least 2 hardley riders who lost the end of a finger in the open primary chain/belt--one guy had his preserved in a jar. Reaching down to flick the kickstand out. Bet it could chew up an ankle in a boot too...

One of the only bikes in there that doesn't look like a plastic-ey POS.

I swear these motorcycle companies get a percentage of all aftermarket exhaust sales. Because these muffler designs are shiiiitttyyy!! you are forced to go aftermarket immediately just off looks alone. Suzuki WTF is that hanging off the side of those bikes?

They look like that for a reason, not because they want it to look like that.

Harley has/had the same problem with exhaust. The more Motorcycle makers are told to make stock exhausts quieter, the more people put on louder systems, so more people complain, so the quieter OEM make stock exhausts....

Underwhelmed?

Am I the only one who thinks the high water mark for Japanese bikes has past? When Honda's "Hottest" sportbike came out in 2004 and has had only minor changes up til and including this year, I'm disappointed! Geez, the CBR1000 is up to 180h.p.! WooHoo! BMW hit 200 in 2010. Soichiro is probably fuming!
Take a look at 1985's line up! Then if you look 3 years later there aren't really any models that are the same. Even the original 600 Hurricane, which was a revolution in the 600 class was totally redone in 1991! Or I think I'd still buy a new VFR750, from 1995. What a hot bike! Oh well, I'm probably just getting old. Maybe next year?

Enter to win a camo Yamaha and prepare to die. Yes folks camouflage really works. They will not see you even better now. There is nothing quite like blending into your surrounding to get you killed by grandpa in his RV.

That cammo is pixellation much the same as the US Army had on cammo fatigues that they dumped several years ago.

The we got the hunters wearing real cammo everything except maybe pampers who might get taken for a critter by some myopic dude with an AK47 who is just oot in the woods to feed his family.
