People that simply cannot tell the truth. I avoid them like the plague. They learn this from politicians.

When highly paid journalists, or pundits, and athletes, or just people period use "AT THE END OF THE DAY".
This is the most used filler for oh man, I can't be creative and say, "When it's all said and done." (that even sucks)
    Or, "All that matters is."

I can't wait to hear somebody use it correctly and say, "At the end of the day, I'm going to go home and Bleep my girlfriend/boyfriend/husband/wife." (that may apply to just one person LOL)

In all fairness, politicians learn to be guarded because telling the truth will get you crucified in the press and in the Twitter world. My wife made an interesting observation about the current state of the candidates in the American presidential race. She said "we get self centered sociopaths because they are the only ones that can weather the heavy storm of media scrutiny." The race itself determines who will and can run. At the end of the day you get what you ask for.

Looking back this could have been great advice for Donald Trump.

Sorry Grey. I cannot agree. Duc's wife is probably a very fine and compassionate woman While it is true we may not know what is going through a person's mind while driving we know the primary thing that should be going through his/her mind is safe driving. It does not matter to me that they may have lost a child or family member to some act of violence or medical issue. It does not matter to me that they may have lost their jobs and may loose their homes. What matters to me, is if they "choose" to drive a vehicle on the road, they focus the necessary attention to their driving so that there is not another tragedy.

There are times that a person should leave the driving up to someone else be it a friend, cab driver or bus driver. Your loss, as bad as it may be, does not come even remotely close to excusing your inattention to driving being responsible for me getting hurt. Or my child getting injured or killed in a traffic accident.

When rebutting or commenting on a post that's buried in some 270 other posts, the exact original post or posts should be included. Exact is in this context, is exact, not truncated, redacted or modified to suit or otherwise changed to fit the occasion or agenda.

The basic drift here is not so much what causes shitty drivers and yes, bike riders too but more than more out there exists than we can hope explain or understand.

In this particular case, DMan's wife in private conversation may have said what he posted. IOW, no quotes..Consider too, that Dman, not only rides a couple of bikes but we can be fairly certain he drive for a living. Gray's comment was in line with what was supposedly said.

Shitty drivers and riders? I'm sure glad where I live there aren't any.

Depending on one's POV that sounds like it could be fun.

Thank You Randy, I agree. I know if I don't feel 100% I will not ride my motorcycle. If I don't feel well enough to drive, I don't drive either. People drive too often distracted or inattentive and this is what I see every time I'm on the road.

Randy I agree with you 100%. BUT! This is the real world and as you know people do all kinds of stupid stuff, like drive when they shouldn't. I can't stop them from doing so. So I must take it upon myself to protect me, only me and always me. It's the real shits when the laws are made for the lowest common denominator, but that's the way it is. And life goes on...................

I can't argue against self preservation. Ultimately, the first line of defense is self defense.

And now they're putting touchscreens on laptops. It has a pefectly good keyboard and mouse pad built into it, why the fock do they want us to go pawing at the screen putting grubby marks on it ? If I wanted a screen that was covered in finger prints I would have bought a smegging tablet.

Tailgaters deserve to be hung, drawn, and quartered. When, not if, I get hit from behind, I'm going to get an ambulance chaser lawyer and get a settlement from the perp because I do have a legitimate back problem. "Oh, my back hurts now". The bastards deserve anything that happens to them. It's just psychopathic behavior.

Oh my, I have to tell you what happened yesterday. I walked into my classroom yesterday morning to find that the old Dell laptops my students use were replaced with newer, yet still old, Dell laptops.

Before computer time, I explained to the six students going to the computer station that the computers look different but operate the same way. FIVE students started whining and one started crying. I look over and they are mashing the crap out of the screen with their fingers...frustrated it won't work.

    Palm to face.

These students come from extreme poverty. Not one has a computer at home. But sure as heck their parents have the smartphones. How do these kids just expect to touch so many things with one lazy finger and it will just appear or do what they want? This Generation L (lazy I call it) extends into other areas too. Crying because their pencil broke or sitting and doing nothing because they dropped their paper. I literally have to teach them they are capable of solving their own problem.

Anyway, I showed them the computers operate the same way. Two were okay with it and the others carried on about how the computers weren't really new and they were junkie. WUT?!

Had one tailgate me hard yesterday while on my moto on a 6-lane. Passing lanes were clear. I wonder what goes on in their minds when they are doing it.

Let's face it, we are obsolete and the newest generation has more to deal with than they will successfully deal with. At least there are some people like you giving them a chance to be productive people. The most productive and good citizens ride motos, LOL!!

In some instances, procreation. The value of a condom cannot be understated. They should be free for many people.
