5th Gen left front signal indicator bulb replacement

    My owner's manual says nothing about the procedure for replacing the left front signal indicator bulb. Anyone have any experience with this on an '01?

    Remove the retaining screw on the inside front of the fairing on the other side of the bulb housing. Pull the front end of the housing free, the rear is simply a clip that slides into the fairing. Change the bulb.

    Bulb type is a 7443 wedge style bulb if I recall correctly. Sometimes you you have to give the whole signal light assembly a bit of a push toward the back of the bike while you pivot the front side out sideways. Once the front retaining clip clears the side of the fairing, pull the light forward to remove .

    Here's a link to a thread for removing the upper cowl. Step 6 shows the removal of the front turn signals.
