Haha, 28 years in this state and I've never been to Holly Beach and I never plan to go.

Being from the desert we couldn't help but take ferries whenever possible. It took longer to dock the boat than cross the river. Just outside of Cameron LA. 20160415-IMG_0662.jpg 20160415-IMG_0666.jpg 20160415-IMG_0671.jpg

I'm a sucker for the ferries since I am from and still in the middle of the country.

Your motos look like mine on long rides. Love the bungees...they are so handy!!

    Oogling your photos <3

You guys see any gators in the road down there? I grew up in central Louisiana and was surprised to see so many of the along the roads moving down to south LA. A lot more common in some areas than others.

I use the ferry, probably a little further north of there, every day to avoid I-10 Baton Rouge traffic going home. So much safer and I get to cut the line on the bike. Y'all stay safe, people drive terribly down here.

Are you guys heading north at all. If you get excited about a swamp, wait until you see the Great Lakes and Niagara Falls. As spectacular as the American view of the falls is, that does not compare to the Canadian side. Keep the report and pictures coming along.

Hope they are heading over the border and post pics! Randy is soooo right. North of Great Lakes <3
Canadian side of Niagara is more beautiful including park around it. Clean and pristine.

Not totally that pristine. I pithed in the park when I was about 4 years old back in the late 50's

Yeah, we don't have any rivers... Only some streams and you can wade across them. Well except the Colorado but it's so dammed up it's really just a bunch of lakes. I love those bungees, great for stuffing things into like a rain jacket or jacket liner. Stay tuned more to follow!

Not heading north this trip. It was a southern US trip. Next April we are going on a northern US trip from Washington to Maine. We'll get some Canada in there too. Thanks for following along!

If you have time to ride to Gaspé, you will not be disappointed. You've prolly heard that and maybe you have done it, or will... but I have to always mention it when I hear about riders going up near Maine.

Cabot Trail, Nova Scotia is amazing, but riding Gaspé is phenomenal. I can't wait to do those rides again! Maine is sooooo close!...it wouldn't be too far from there. ;)

Nah, didn't see any gators until the 41 across the Everglades. I've got pictures coming of them. So far the worst drivers we found were in Florida! Almost got wiped out 3 times there. Really all east coast of Florida.

    Thanks for following along!

Some cool bridges along the LA82. And finally we get to NOLA! But my battery died on the camera and New Orleans traffic is bad! Especially around the French Quarter. We couldn't stop to walk around as our gear and bikes were exposed to too many "professionals" we saw lurking. Got tons of video though so will be posting to Youtube and I'll attach links when done.

But you can't pitch a tent. They have security guards so I asked one if we could put up our mosquito net... Actually the inner tent! He said cool and because we were on bikes he kept an eye on our stuff all night and told the next shift to do the same. Major respect for the Gautier MS rest stop security guards!

OK, next up for you Forrest Gump fans... Bayou La Batre Alabama! First up Alabama state sign, guess what song I had playing? Hahaha! 20160417-IMG_0722.jpg

Bayou La Batre! Let's go find Forrest! 20160417-IMG_0725.jpg 20160417-IMG_0727.jpg
