Not 'done' yet, but bought a set of Heli-bars. Wrist pain was excruciating after yesterday's ride (~500 miles) - even with proper use of upper body core, stretching and flexing fingers, wrists. Hope that my riding position change will help relieve pressure on the wrists .

If you're ever down this way, or I'm up you're way, we should do just that.

Took the tires off my cbr wheelset that I was going to adapt, only to find "F3" written on the inside even though they were advertised as F2s. I messaged Jamie and he says they'll never fit, so they're for sale now I guess. Anyone got a set of 600F2 wheels for sale?

Hate to hear that hope you didn't give much for them.

Added a manual fan switch just under the temp gauge. Went for a quick joy ride , got behind slow cagers and was way to close to home to blow their doors off. Sunday drivers aren't usually courteous enough to ease up and over to "let you by" like many do any other time I ride. Maybe they are too busy talking about why that guy keeps getting close, the slowing down and backing way off.
    Score one for the "humble"

Or maybe they are all too hung over to notice. .

Fortunately I got them for a song. Now I have to decide if it's worth it to refinish them and sell them or just sell them as is. Seems they don't fit any VF or VFR.

Best bet is to clean them up really good and sell them as-is. Definitely don't pay pay to have them refinished, although they may look nicer, someone may want to get a set on the cheap and redo them in their color/finish choice.

I've already began sanding them and prepping, my intention was to refinish them myself. I'll probably paint them gold or white and clearcoat them then sell them. Not sure if I'll make any money that way though.

Today? Not a darn thing. If it's not cold or wet, I may put the key in, fire up the mach 1 91 and do WalMart. Same thing yesterday and days before that. We all have our "Meccas". Mine is WalMart.

Praise WalMart! Besides, I am oot of whatever they have on sale.

Went and installed a PDM60 power controller on the 09 VFR. I already have one on the 01 but decided to add one to the 09 as well. I used some BOSH style relays for the horn and future volt meter installation. As similar to what I did with the 01, I have a momentary contact closure that will temporarily trigger the volt meter relay to allow the volt meter to get power. This was so I can check the battery voltage without having a key. I also put in a power off delay on the Powerlet and heated gear circuits so that if/when I stop for gas I can at least stay warm while I gas up. The two USB circuits (front/rear) I have turning on/off with the bike so that way my cameras turn on/off automatically. I used the heavy duty Velcro to attach one of the USB ports to the inside of the front fairing. The other I zipped tied to a frame rail under the seat. The PDM60 also gets Velcro mounted under the frame just behind the gas tank.

Although it took me most of the day on Saturday, I really took my time and made all the connections solid and used heat shrink and covered the wire(s) with wire loom. I'm still debating on whether I want to cut into the right side main fairing or finding an alternative mounting option.

Put on a 17t sprocket ,same as '79-'83 Cv 750/900 and '02-'08 vfr800's ,still need the 17 sized chain support that bolts on front of the sprocket. Have a good 16t to swap.
Also ordered braided steel lines for the front.

When I set the chain tension this time I set the rear wheel alignment with an 8 foot level run up each side toward the front wheel. Found out the marks on my chain tensioner/adjusters are off by about 1/2 a mark or more. Pretty sure this was causing a bit if instability in gently turns with small amounts of lean particularly right handers.

Took mine out for 170 mile run and thrashed it ...... after 4 weeks on a Triumph Tiger it was great to get back on my bike, I'm sure glad I never bought one

Ahhh the roar as the VTEC cuts in and you have power .... how I've missed that

    Nice work, Tex!!!

I used one of these: http://fuzeblocks.com/

The relay is integrated into the fuse block. Simply connect to the battery +/- and hook into one of the rear tail lights to trigger the relay and you're done. Then just connect your accessories to the fuse block. Depending on how you position the fuse for each circuit, you can select if the power is "always on" or "switched".

Got my nifty little clock/ 2X temp/ voltage meter.
Back light and voltage meter only work when key is on.
Will probably hook a K type thermo couple to the second temp meter. Have one that fits under the plug for Cylinder head temp ( really for air cooled) and another standard t-couple that's like 1/4" by 1" long cylinder, not sure where I would put it, maybe in the intake behind the air filter. could the second temp meter to monitor oil temp with the right sensor. Almost every generic temp sensor (such as the "outside of cage temp sensor") I have run across is just a really cheap K-type thermo couple.
    1475628287117-2087583946.jpg
I will need to remove the cigarette lighter plug, and hook it directly to ground and add a 1 amp fuse going to switched power (possibly the unused sense wire for the R/R) as well as open the unit and hook the K type thermo-couple of my choice directly to the board.

Very cool little gadget above to add several switched / unswitched gadgets.
