Hey howdy, I recently parked the bike after a good ride from work and while oiling/tightening the new chain up a bit I noticed that two of my lugs are missing!!??
I haven't had much luck online as I can't find the specific size, can someone please point me in the right direction!

    Thank you!
    Sincerely, Az.

Perhaps if you could give us some clues about which lugs you are missing?
Are they the little plastic ones which hold the edges of the fairing panels together? These are a molded part of each panel and they will need to be rebuilt using fibreglass or some sort of plastic glue.

Since he was cleaning the chain i was thinking wheel lugs--the lug nuts that hold the rear wheel to the hub on the single sided swing arm. Torque spec is about 80 ft-lbs.

    Correct, sorry!
I come from the car world really, and only refer to lugs as those on the wheels haha. They were torqued down as well, now they are nowhere to be found "/
I will have to order new ones, what are the thread sizes?

Hard to believe that they came off if it was torqued properly. Someone trying to kill you? lol

    Lots of lug nuts everywhere.

Your friendly Honda dealer has or can order them for you. Several online parts houses too.

Best IMO to drive in to get them as in drive a car.

Right, prefer to order online. Which is why I'm asking if anyone can tell me the thread size, etc..

    Cheers!

Bike Bandit, Partzilla should have them. I looked up the part number for the wheel stud, and that particular stud appears to be used on honda accords and civics since at least 1994. The lugs should be available at almost any local parts store (autozone, orilley's, etc.).

Weird. Better be watching your back, those just don't come off, and Two? Yea, see the packing heat thread. Only thing to throw out is the Honda Civic uses basically the same nut, but here's the rub. The ones used on the VFR have a rounded seat, where the Civics have a more straight taper to em.

I see, thank you. I found a Vfr800 at a local yard with wheel and lugs still on. Will those work, it's a 1998?

Partzilla shows the same part number on the wheel lug nuts for 1990-2001

Yikes, your wheels have 4 lugs, right? That's scary that half of them were missing - I agree with RVFR, sounds like some hooligns were screwing around with your wheel. I'd be extra vigilant for awhile.

call me paranoid, but I actually have locking lugs on my VFRs. ordered a set with the round seats, I think they cross reference with the Fit. anyway, I have 2 lugs opposite of each other with locking nuts. And yes, the lug thread pitch, diameter and depth are all cross compatible from my experience on the 93, 97, and 2007. The 6th gen nuts are just shorter in over all length.

I should have some lug nut sitting around if you need them, PM me - will be out of comm range until next Monday though.
