i have an 06 vfr800 and i just put a two bro's exhaust on it.. the one on the right side works and the one on the left is not hooked up. If I was to make it a true dual exhaust again by modding a pipe to the left one and possible taking the cat converter off will i be ok by doing that? will i lose or gain anything by making it a true dual again?

Might be a fire risk. That other can is made to stash some stuff in, not exhaust hot gases...

Not worth the cost/risk to mod it. Sell the system while it's fresh and go with another brand.

you DO know that the left side IS a storage container right?
If you want dual exhaust... buy dual exhausts...

It's still a single can exhaust...

Just as silly as the STASH setup.

I think I remember when two bros came out with the STASH exhaust, they kinda stumbled into finding out that the bike had better power with a onezy can and then wondered well, what to do about the 2nd can? Then some wiseass employee commented that it could be a stash can and bam! The STASH was born. (You can kinda figure out what they were stashing.)

You guys are brutal these days..... I had a Twobros on a CBR, made great sound and was suited well to that bike. Like mello dude was saying they found out that the single worked pretty well on the VFR so from a performance standpoint I think you should leave it alone but I don't think it matters if you put a crossover in. I really don't know what they were thinking when they came up with the stash. They don't seem to sell many of them. How does it sound with the one pipe?

it sounds pretty well... i was hopeing that converting would make it a lil louder and maybe add some power. i was also trying to figure out if i took the converter thing off would that help performance or do they make a different set of headers for this bike without that on them?

Yah those STASH's were pretty horrible. The stash can was so cheap looking too.

That other system is way better looking at least.

I'm sure the power gain (or loss) would be really only noticeable on a dyno.
