I'd like to ride it and see what it's about but probably not buy one.

If it uses the NC750 engine, probably going to be built in Taiwan, which means it will much lower priced. I you live in area where you could ride it off road, might be fun. Not as a primary bike.

Looked cool at first ... then a saw the side profile. That thing looks like a scooter, but even more fugly.

Nope. I'll get an Africa Twin still I think as a second bike. :)

Man. Honda makes quality products, no doubt, but in the future, when today's bikes are classics, "pre-2016 Honda" is going to mean something.

WTF had a nice rant about it being made for the softer generation, a adventure bike in the clothing of a "safe" and frugal scooter, with its automatic trans and sitting at a desk riding position .

    Went to get this pic.
    51298719c1a7bf384448171f37faa593.jpg

To show that current Super bikes have reach their limit, more expensive materials can make them lighter, Direct injected 2 stroke motors show promise, otherwise tires ,suspension , etc aren't getting any better. Until we start riding jet bikes we are likely to see all kinds of weird things in attempt to draw more and new people to two wheels.

Anyhow I lost my huge rant full of boring and inconsequential ramblings. They got lost in a quick reply page reload. So by chance you have been spared a long boring hard to piece together post for the above which may only be half as bad...

The super condensed version is: Hells no a scooter on steroids is still a scooter. This invokes images in my mind similar to Grand Theft Auto's pink Faggio scooter and the stereotypical sissies you have to kick off of them to steel their little pink wuss-mobiles.
I realize this view can likely be attributed to growing up in rural America, where big trucks, fast cars, fast bikes, and loud anything rules. Even my first car the '92 escort super economy model would lay double blacks in first for over 100 meters, as long as you kept the speedo reading less than 38mph (no tachometer).

    Oops that wasn't condensed either

    Lol

That "2 wheeler"'s slogan is right on the money. It says any road. To me dual sport riding would be very dull if I could only go on roads, gravel or otherwise. Also, the other day a guy said he rated dual sports by how many times a day he could pick em' up if they fell! That made a lot of sense to me. I still do not get why Honda never took the XR650R and made that into a dual sport. Would kick KTM's butt. But no, they make a scooter! Geez, I also see that the CBR1000 may get new bodywork this year? Woo Hoo!
Now if I ran the Motorcycle division...

Another of those "not going to be available in the US" until the manufacturer (not only Honda) gets enough feedbag to send some over to the scooter crowd.

Next will be "ScooterCross, ScooterGP" and old Vespas selling for more than Harleys.

All that needs to be done now is find a dealer that's on a gravel road and hang oot there until they let ya ride one.
